Job Description

Our client need a Mechanical Estimator to work in their London office site on various commercial projects.

Our client provides mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and commissioning services. The company offers engineering and construction services that range from project management, engineering detailed and field construction management, safety, QA/QC, constructability, project controls, procurement and contracts, material control, commissioning and handover, and maintenance. It specializes in managing, engineering, and executing electrical, instrumentation, mechanical, and HVAC projects within the hydrocarbons, energy, life sciences, data, commercial, and manufacturing business units worldwide.
 
Roles and responsibilities

  • To prepare and collate tenders and source pre-project information by a given deadline
  • Provide fast, accurate, competitive and profitable estimates from enquires stage to bid submission
  • To follow up on submitted tenders
  • To analyse sub-contractor / vendor quotations and checking inclusions and exclusions
  • To deal with clients at post tender meetings and conduct presentations
  • Provide support and assistance to the Estimating team
  • Attend tender and follow up meetings when required
 
Required qualifications
  • Building Services, Mechanical or QS qualification would be beneficial
 Required experience
  • Minimum 10 years’ experience with an M&E contractor
  • Mechanical trade background is preferred
